Green Block Project endeavors to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods by educating neighbors about the health and financial benefits of community gardens, by building community relationships, and providing the opportunity for self-reliance, recreation, exercise and improvement of the environment.
Green Block Project is in its next stage of development, its infrastructure. Green Block Project is requesting a donation in the form of a one-year lease for a small office space. This is vital to the evolution of the project and will only happen with your support.

“Community gardens have been shown to actually increase property values in the immediate vicinity where they are located. In Milwaukee properties within 250 [feet] of gardens experienced a increase of $24.77 with every foot and the average garden was estimated to add approximately $9,000 a year to the city tax revenue” (Bremer et al, 2003,p. 20; Chicago, 2003, p. 10; Sherer,2006).
